Racism in sport does not only affect athletes. Coaches can also experience discrimination, racial stereotyping, unequal expectations, exclusion and barriers to advancement.
Sometimes it is obvious. Other times it appears through who receives opportunities, who is invited into professional networks, whose knowledge is valued and who is considered “leadership material.”
Our objective is not simply to identify problems. We want to help create solutions through education, advocacy, dialogue and collaboration.
